In the rimward part of the Imperium that we call the Segmentum Obscurus, you will find the Cygnus Arm, part of the great spirals of stars that form our galaxy. In the Spinward end of this region you find the Galgoth Sector. The Galgoth Sector can be seen by telescopic means due to the Dark Clouds Nebula, a great wilderness of dust and interstellar gas that dominates the area, and one of its residents, the furious star Abyssal Gigantus, an unstable stellar object of the most incredible size, that will easily signpost the nebula from vast distances. There are nine subsectors arranged in a formal pattern of a grid. This is not the way of cartomancers that chart the heavens in our time, who prefer a more flexible and immediate method of describing boundaries, and we think the division of territory is from an older, more traditional mapping scheme long since lost to us and preserved only by word of mouth and whatever lore is hidden in dark vaults. Journeys to the Galgoth Sector are not the most dangerous of some within the Imperium, but this sector exists far away on the outer reaches of the Astronomican, our guiding light, and there are matters to concern travellers wishing to make planetfall here. Beware.
