 The Rimward edge of the Dark Clouds Nebula is a frontier, albeit a productive and busy one, to the sparse distribution of outer star systems of the Cygnus Arm. Kraken hunters have long based themselves in the docks and ports of this region, and there are always rumours of broken hulks left from kraken attacks scattered out beyond the rimward side. Alpha Sirian Bastion Extremis: Another relic of the Forgotten War perhaps, and one no longer serving any useful strategic purpose, but is nonetheless occupied by adepts of the Telepathica, and Departmento Munitorum forces not listed within the Imperial Guard. Beta Sirian Cora Borealis Fort Sable: One of several defensive stations on the rimward edge of the sector that once took part in the Forgotten War. Although long abandoned, settlers seeking a secluded place to live and worship the Emperor have established a colony here. They say the catacombs are infested with darkness, terrible things that carry off the unwary, and a bitter war now exists between the settlers and the creatures of the disabled depths. Gryphon Insula Delta: A monastic refuge whose members eschew personal contact with the outside galaxy. Some say they exist as decanted brains in glass cylinders of nutrient solutions, seeking enlightment in total absence of stimuli. Nonetheless, they are also said to possess libraries of works lost and forgotten elsewhere. Only a sect of enslaved aliens sworn to secrecy handle the outsiders who come here. Malmudia: A world of verdant forests, whose inhabitants are ruled by a caste of shamans loyal to the Imperial Commander. The native tribes vary in character, but many are good warrior stock. Mesa: There is one abiding rumour of Mesa to be wary of. "Here be Daemons". Quite literally, a prison of the abyssal kind, a punitive colony of beastmen and mutants, where foulness and chaos are studied in strict obedience of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Stroies persist of unpleasant phenomena, and rumours of a hidden gateway, fortified and protected. Neo Carthago Nexus Prime: Although much atrophied since the days of the Forgotten War, this planet still hosts dry dock facilities and serves as a way station for Cult Mechanicus activity. Since the destruction of the Conjectural Council, the Questor Arcanum have set up base here. Oracle: Who knows what lies here? By rumour it is a world of madness, powerful illusions, and inevitable death. Officially, it is listed as Forbidden, and travellers are advised to keep both aspects in mind if considering a voyage here. Rubicora Scarabus Sinistra Station Occultis Tarsus Terminus: Sometimes referred to as the Last Hive World. Most of the planet suffers terrible storms and the hives are all placed in sheltered mountains and valleys, sometimes stretching deep underground, accessed only by teleportation gates from the four moons that orbit this world.
